Hi there, and welcome to Taste & See Home Bakery! If you’re new here, I’m Lucy, and I love all things hospitality, food (especially baked goods) and bringing people together. I set up Taste & See Home Bakery, based in my home kitchen in Newtownards, Co. Down, with the dream and intention of making good-quality and delicious treats affordable, accessible and enjoyable for everyone.

Like many people, I took up baking as a hobby in 2020 in an attempt to escape boredom for a few hours, but it soon became a passion I was determined to keep up long after our world returned to its usual schedule. Over the last six years, I’ve loved developing skills, researching the processes and histories behind different bakes, learning from the many experienced home bakers I am blessed to know and discovering the joy that comes not only from creating something tasty but also from sharing it with others! It is this timeless concept of creating community through food that inspired me to take a leap of faith and start this venture; if a cake, traybake or muffin brings you a little moment of joy, why not share the experience with friends, family or even a stranger? Never underestimate the potential of home baking!

I’m currently balancing T&S with my studies, but plan to take a break next year and put every ounce of my energy into making this venture a success. Taste & See Home Bakery has been a long-standing dream of mine, and I feel so blessed and excited to see it come to fruition.
